The town of Les Sables d’Olonne is adding a tribute concert to accordionist Marcel Azzola, who passed away in 2019, to its cultural programme. Scheduled for Friday, 30 October 2026, at 8:45 PM, this event will be led by the Jazzola quartet. This group comprises pianist Antoine Hervier and double bassist Guillaume Souriau, who accompanied the late artist for a decade, joined by Jacques Julienne on accordion and Frédéric Robert on drums. This high-calibre ensemble will revisit the major compositions of this virtuoso who left his mark on the history of jazz and musette. For an hour and a half, the audience will be able to rediscover the work of an exceptional musician who collaborated with major figures in French chanson and the jazz scene.

Bookings Open Early September

Tickets for this unique performance will go on sale from Saturday, 5 September 2026, at 10:00 AM. Spectators can make their reservations online, via the Vendée commune’s dedicated mobile app, or directly at local tourist offices. Individual prices are 19 euros for adults and 13 euros at a reduced rate for students, job seekers, or those on social benefits, while under-16s will benefit from 2-euro access. Preferential rates are also available for members. Organisers also invite people with reduced mobility to contact the cultural department or ticket offices directly to arrange their welcome.
